1072 - Barrel Racing Success “ Implementing 6.1 Acute and Ambulatory

Barrel racing, one of the most exciting sports. Similar to implementing MEDITECH 6.1, from the moment you choose 6.1, you will want to develop a plan. Timelines, activities, training, participation, building, confidence and competence, takes time and preparation. This course will review in detail a roll out and implementation of 6.1 aligning acute with ambulatory, including handouts to assist in participants own successes. Additional discussion of barriers and strategies for overcoming will be reviewed. Marcia Cheadle, RN, is the Senior Director of Advanced Clinical Applications. Marcia is responsible for the implementation and integration of more than 30 advanced clinical facilities, physician EMR, and client server application programs. Her leadership has resulted in 85% of customers achieving HIMSS Level 6 or 7 and completing 100+ implementations and over 30 successful attestations for Meaningful Use. Marcia previously served as Vice Chair of the eHI Policy Steering Committee and teaches in the Health Care Administration Program at Eastern Washington University as well as continues her clinical nursing practice at a local emergency department.
