During this presentation, we will discuss the details of implementing electronic prescribing of both controlled substances and non-controlled substances. The presentation will cover all of the obstacles involved with planning, implementation, and maintenance of e-prescribing. We will share valuable lesson that were learned from our project. Don Carpenter has worked at St. Claire for 23 years. He is a Certified Pharmacy Technician and his current role is as an Informatics Analyst II. Don has a Bachelor's degree in Biology with an Integrated science minor from Morehead State University.
