1025 - To Isolate or Not to Isolate

As an organization we struggled with the time intensive process of isolating patients, the expense associated, the inconvenience to patients and their family, as well as the potential patient safety issues.  We decided that we needed to overhaul our screening process and especially as it related to MRSA. We were fortunate to be implementing a rapid nasal swab test for MRSA so the timing was great.  The team worked through the various process changes as well as some major development changes. During this presentation, we will walk through the process changes for the staff as well as the assessment changes, status board updates and the rules that helped to streamline the documentation process.
