Nicole Heim is Vice President / Chief Information Officer for Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC). Ms. Heim heads the Information Technology Division which includes - Information Systems, Informatics, Telecommunications, Clinical Engineering, and Quality Departments. Ms. Heim also serves as the Hospital’s designated HIPAA Security Officer.
Ms. Heim joined the Hospital in 2006. Under Ms. Heim’s leadership, MRMC successfully implemented numerous IT initiatives and attested to Meaningful Use Stages 1 and 2. In 2015, HIMSS Analytics recognized MRMC as achieving Stage 6 on the EMR Adoption Model.
Ms. Heim has spoken locally and nationally on the topics including Meaningful Use, Health Information Exchange, and the many Challenges Healthcare CIOs are facing. Ms. Heim is a member of College Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS). She also is a member of the Advisory Board for Brandeis University’s Health and Medical Informatics Graduate Degree Program.
Prior to joining the Hospital, Ms. Heim held multiple positions at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge and Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH) in Westwood. Ms. Heim earned a Bachelor degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is pursuing a Graduate Degree in Healthcare Administration at Framingham State University.
